SONIC Labs

The SmartRAN Open Network Interoperability Centre - commonly known as SONIC Labs - has a mission to develop and operate an interoperability testing platform that can bring together and support existing and the latest network technology suppliers, system integrators, operators and service providers to test and validate interoperability and integration of open networking solutions, starting with Open RAN.

BT Labs TEAC UK

BT partnered with the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) and Facebook (now Meta) to open the UK’s TIP Ecosystem Acceleration Centre (TEAC) in 2017, a UK lab bringing together start-ups and BT to develop new telecom digital technologies. TEAC UK gives start-ups access to BT's test networks and BT engineers in Adastral Park.

NEC Open RAN Lab

NEC established its European 5G Centre of Excellence (CoE) and test lab in Ruislip, just outside of West London in 2020. It has a clear focus on Open RAN integration and end-to-end solution development and validation.
